Come and enjoy cuisine available only at Kogatei!

Ever since I was a child, I have loved to cook. I entered the world of cuisine without even considering any other options. After graduating from cooking school, I trained at several French restaurants in Tokyo. I could not get over the feeling that there was a gap between what I was doing and the type of cuisine through which I wanted to express myself. As I was searching to find my own style of cuisine, I traveled to France in 2013, finding work at a long-established restaurant in Lyon. This is where I learned how to truly work with ingredients. It wasn’t just the skill of selecting the right ingredients. I also learned how to draw the line between my passion for cooking, the ingredients, and the final creation on the plate. The single-most gift I can give to our guests is my enthusiasm for new cuisine, ingredients found nowhere else, and dishes that can only be experienced and enjoyed at Kogatei.

Kogatei is just a five-minute walk from the West Exit of Kamakura Station, which is served by the JR Yokosuka Line, the Shonan Shinjuku Line, and the Enoshima Electric Railway Line.

Exit the west ticket gate at Kamakura Station and go straight. Turn right at the City Hall intersection, walk 180 meters, and then turn left at the parking lot on the left corner. Continue walking until you come to a curve — the western style manor house on the hill to your right is Kogatei.
